Interested in becoming a cheerleader or mascot??? Tryout packets are available in the front office.  They are to be completed and turned in to Mrs. White D201 by Feb 21st 4pm- no exceptions. Parent meeting is set for Feb 25th at 6:30pm in the LGI.     

If you are interested in being a student Athletic Trainer for the 2019-2020 school year, please stop by the Athletic Training Room starting Thursday February 14th through Friday February 22nd. If you have any questions see Coach Casey or Coach Cosper. Applications are due before Spring break.  

Sapphires will be competing at the Dance Line Lonestar Championship next weekend. Anyone wanting to order a Sapphire Contest Shirt can get an order form outside room C102.  Orders are due to Mrs. Lawson by Friday, February 22nd.

Do you want to help others, improve your leadership skills, and have fun while making a positive impact on a child's life? If so- PALs is the class for you! PALs are mentors and meet with little jays 3 times a week. If you're a current 10th or 11th grade student, pick up a nomination form from Ms. Everest today.  
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet this Friday at 7:25am in the LGI Room.  Fundraisers are also due that morning!  Have a great week and see you Friday! 

There will be a Junior Parent Meeting on Monday, February 25th at 7 pm in the Auditorium.  Information to be presented includes:  college admissions process, financial aid, housing, college admissions testing, and much more.  Juniors and their parents should make plans to attend.

Congratulations to the following FCCLA members! These students placed at region this past weekend and will advance to the state competition in Dallas next month: Treasure Ellerbe placed 1st in Chapter Service Project Portfolio, Wyatt Jordan and Emily Witneben placed 1st in Life Event Planning, and Sabrina Nelms placed 4th in Teach and Train! Great job to all who participated in a STAR Event.

Congrats on the BlueJay Soccer team beating Rice Consolidated 7-1 Monday night. Hector Portio, Francisco Avila, Esven Peralta, and Raul Cuevas all scored in the game! They were assisted by Anthony Salas, Raul Cuevas, and Francisco Avila. Great Job Jays! Come out Friday night when we rematch against Royal at home.

TAFE members please stop by Ms. Brenton's room E205 to pick up an Agenda if you missed this weeks TAFE meeting. 

The middle school is looking for help with their science night next Tuesday 2/26 from 5:00-7:00 PM. TAFE members interested in helping please see Ms. B for details and sign up. 

Those TAFE members who are competing at State next week are required to attend a mandatory training meeting TODAY, Thursday 2/21,  after school. Please see Ms. Brenton if you are not going to be able to make it. 

The 2019 UIL Sponsors would like to give a hearty thank you to our students, parents, teachers, and administrators. Over 700 competitors from 39 schools spent the day at NHS this past Saturday competing in UIL events. And with your help, we were able to put on another successful UIL competition and maintain our reputation as having the classiest tournament and school in the area.

Seniors: The February edition of the Senior Newsletter is now available on-line or in the counselor’s office.  New scholarships include: Rosenberg Masonic Lodge, Needville Harvest Festival, SPJST Lodge #81 Needville, Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors, Rosenberg Rotary Club, Beth Lovorn Memorial Scholarship, Fort Bend County Farm Bureau, and Needville High School Scholarship Fund.  Stop by and pick up your copy todayThe Needville Youth Fair will be sponsoring a Valentine Dance for the Youth of our Community on Friday, February 15th at the KC Hall in Needville.  The one and only Mr. Ben Orsak will be the DJ for the night.  The dance is from 8:00 - 11:00 and the cost to enter is $5 with a $5 reentry fee for anyone who leaves and reenters.

ProGrad will be collecting money and unsold tickets for Chicken Fried Steak drive-thru fundraiser TODAY, 2/15/19 in the cafeteria during both lunches.  Final day to turn in money and unsold tickets will be Tuesday, 2/19/19 during both lunches.
