Seniors!  Cookbooks are right around the corner. Please submit recipes by December 20th.  You will get credit for up to 10 recipe you submit! Cookbook orders are due January 18th so sell, sell, sell!  You will get 10 point for every book you sell! No limit! Visit the front desk to drop off your recipe and pick up an order form! They are inside the folder titled Cookbook.  

HOSA will be selling homemade/personalized Christmas Tree Ornaments at lunch TODAY.  They will be delivered on Friday the 14th of December to your special someone or best friend during 2nd period!  Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to wish someone a Merry Christmas!

HOSA proceeds will be used to buy Christmas presents for patients at Texas Children’s if enough are not donated and other community projects throughout the year.            

Students:  Schedule Change request forms for 2nd semester are now available in the Counselor’s office.  If your schedule needs a change for next semester, please stop by and fill out a form.  Only changes that are necessary will be made.  All requests for schedule changes must be submitted by December 14th.

Are you going to the DPS soon to get your driver’s license or permit?  Don’t forget to sign up in Mrs. Reyes’ office by THIS Thursday, December 13th  to get your VOE before the Christmas break.     

FCCLA will have a meeting on Tuesday December 11th after school at 4:00 in the LGI. All members should attend.

The Spanish Club annual Breakfast Taco Meeting will be Wednesday, December 12 at 7:30 am.  If you were at the October meeting and ordered tacos, please come to this meeting and enjoy your tacos!

Attention all FFA members who sold fruit for the fundraiser. Fruit items will be here today at 6 pm so make plans to have them picked up. Drive thru will be in front of Coach Mo’s workshop. Enter from the student parking lot side.

Attention FFA members – the Horse Judging Team will be practicing Tuesday and Thursday after school in Classroom H102. See Mr. H if you have questions. The next contest is Saturday in Montgomery.

Congratulations to the high school shotgun team. They placed 4th in the Concordia FFA Shooting Contest with over 240 competitors who competed Saturday morning in the cold weather and mud in Cypress. Congratulations to all who competed

The above mentioned AREA QUALIFIERS will compete in Orange Grove, Texas on Saturday, January 12, 2019. This particular contest will provide students the opportunity to compete for a position in the Association of Texas Small School Bands 4A State ensemble! All region qualifiers will be featured in a concert on Saturday, January 19, 2019 @ Brazosport HS; 4:30 PM.

The NHS Debate team traveled to Van Vleck High School this past weekend. It was a holly jolly affair. Claudia Garcia got first place in Informative speaking, and Cody Estes got 6th in Persuasive speaking. In LD Debate, Seth Ramirez got 4th and Cody Estes got 5th. In CX Debate, Max Renteria and Claudia Garcia got 3rd and Amber Simons and Stephen Ashburn got 4th. And in the most important event, Layton Meyer got 3rd in Storytelling. They really made Mr. Kohleffel the hap hap happiest Debate coach around.

Don’t forget to wear your college shirt TOMORROW!

Time is running out for you to purchase your ticket for the high school choir Christmas concert, "A Season for Singing", featuring the NHS choirs and the Houston Tidelanders all-male barbershop chorus.  This will be a spectacular evening of exciting music.  This has been a very popular show for several years.  Don't miss your opportunity to attend this concert.  Tickets are on sale in the high school choir room.

Balfour will be here TOMORROW during lunches to deliver rings. So if you ordered a ring remember to stop by their table.

There will be a candle lighting service for Jackie Cruz on Dec 17 @ 9:30 p.m. at the Needville Cemetery. There will be candles there at the cemetery for you to light in honor of Jackie. Please come out and support the family as this day is the anniversary day of her accident. If you have questions, please see Coach Croft. 

Send a little Holiday Cheer to a friend or a staff member this week with a Reindeer Candy Gram! Candy Grams are $1 and plain Candy Canes are 50 cents. Sapphires will be at both lunches so stop by! Make sure you know the recipients 4th period teacher to ensure prompt delivery. They will be delivered Monday, December 17th.

All TAFE members are encouraged to attend. TAFE members planning to attend our field trip to Stephen F Austin on Jan 11th. must turn in permission slips by Friday! Don't forget to turn them in or you will not be able to go with us! 

TAFE would like to thank everyone who supported our Christmas Toy Drive. All toys donated were delivered to a local church to be wrapped and given to needy families right here in Needville. Thanks for making a difference for someone this Christmas!

We will need all 2018 Varsity Football players to report to the locker room Monday, December 17th at the beginning of 5th period. We will be taking pictures for the paper. Please wear blue jeans.

Lady Jay Soccer t-shirts on sale now!!!   All orders are due by noon December 20.  That’s Next Thursday!!   $20 for short sleeve and $25 for long sleeve. Order forms can be picked up in the front office or Coach Bradford’s class in C209 Turn all orders in to Coach Bradford.

Anyone wanting to try out for the Needville Baseball team must attend a manditory meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 19th in the LGI from 12:15-12:45. For any questions please see Coach McKeller in room C210.
