Students and Teachers - if you have a talent come show it at the Needville Harvest Fest Talent Show on October 21st. Entry fee is $5 per person per event. Additional information and entry forms are in the front office. Deadline is October 18th.

Mr. O'Neal's class will be making a video for the Veterans Day Program again this year.  Teachers and students who would like to celebrate a family or friend veteran in this video need to contact Mr. O'Neal in room E206 to set up a time to film.  In this short video, you will need to have a picture of your veteran.  Since all students in Social Studies classes are making posters of veterans, you can use your poster of your veteran in the video as your picture if you would like.

Ms. Davis has a sign up outside her room C110.  We need 25 students standing at the school entrances to meet and greet veterans as they arrive for the Veterans Day Program.  Student greeters need to dress for success on that day.           

The FFA  Shotgun Shooting Team will hold a mandatory meeting for all new & old members on Tuesday night at 7PM in the LGI room.  Parents must be present to attend this year’s orientation meeting. Any questions see Mr. H in room H 102.

Girls basketball practice starts on Wednesday October the 18th. Anyone who was on JV or Varsity last year will practice from 5:45-7:00am in the back gym. Freshman and anyone else trying out will go from 4:15-5:45pm at the old high school gym. 

Students: Please turn in your signed report card to your 1st period teacher. If not a $2.00 fine will be owed to the front office.

Teachers: Please turn in signed report cards to Mrs. Landry.    

Need some new Blue Jay Spirit Attire?  Here’s your opportunity! The Girl’s Soccer Store is opening up Today!!  Any Blue Jay or Lady Jay can purchase these items online.  Please go to the website on the flyer to purchase.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND -   Once the store closes on October 27, it will still take up to 6 weeks for delivery.  Sooooooo, pretty please, be patient.  It will not be here sooner.  If you have any questions please ask Coach Bradford in C209 or in the girls coaches office. Seniors: There will be a Senior Parent College Planning Meeting on Monday, October 23rd at 7 pm in the LGI.  Information will be presented on the college admission process, testing, housing, financial aid and much more.  Please encourage your parents to attend.

The October edition of the senior newsletter is now available either on line on the high school website or in the counselor’s office.  Please check it out as some scholarship opportunities are starting to come in.

TAFE will be selling Pink Out Buttons and other pink out spirit items for the Pink Out Pep Rally TODAY. They will be sold before school and during lunches. Proceeds go to help our future educators program and student who are wearing their TAFE Pink Out button TODAY may have their shirts untucked for participating in a spirit day! So make sure and get your pink out gear soon!
